Creamy Protein Pops (3 Flavors!)

Craving a cool treat in the hot summer sun?   Try Pina Colada, Triple Chocolate or Banana Berry Pops! These creamy, decadent Popsicles will satisfy your sweet tooth and keep you bathing suit ready all summer long.   Packed with lean protein and fresh fruit, your entire family can cool down and fuel up with this nutritious dessert.   While I love all of these, I’m particularly obsessed with the Pina Colada because it so creamy and flavorful and reminds me of vacation! Creamy Protein Pops (3 Flavors!)

INGREDIENTS FOR PINA COLADA POPSICLES:
  • 16 ounces of light coconut milk
  • 5 scoops Vanilla Protein Powder
  • 2 heaping cups chopped fresh pineapple
  • 1 heaping tablespoon coconut oil
  • ¼ cup low fat plain Greek yogurt
  • Splash of Rum* (optional- for the adults!)
INGREDIENTS
  1. Combine all ingredients in a blender until smooth.  Pour into Popsicle molds and freeze until set.  *If you would like to add rum to only a few of the pops, simply add it to the blender after you have poured the remaining pops into the molds.
INGREDIENTS FOR TRIPLE CHOCOLATE POPS
  • 1 all natural dark chocolate bar, chopped into small pieces
  • 16 ounces of light, unsweetened almond milk
  • 5 scoops Chocolate Protein Powder
  • 1 heaping teaspoon cocoa powder
  • ¼ cup low fat plain Greek yogurt
 INSTRUCTIONS
  1. Drop a small amount of the chopped protein bar pieces into the bottom of each Popsicle mold.  Combine the remaining ingredients in a blender until smooth.  Pour into Popsicle molds (on top of the protein bar pieces) and freeze until set.
BANANA BERRY POPS
  • 16 ounces of light, unsweetened almond milk
  • 5 scoops Vanilla Protein Powder
  • A few drops of pure vanilla extract (optional)
  • 1 small ripe banana
  • 12 strawberries, hulled
  • ¼ cup low fat plain Greek yogurt
INSTRUCTIONS
  1. Combine all ingredients in a blender until smooth.  Pour into Popsicle and freeze until set.
SO, WHAT’S THE NUTRITION BALANCE?

All three of these popsicles are fairly balanced in protein, carbohydrates and fat.  They have 125 calories or less per pop so think of these as a light snack or dessert.
